Would definitely be a sight to see.
obvious in all games, personally the "lag factor" is the only thing holding this back.
but, til we see how Factions is implementing something similar (not necessarily monsters maybe), this is a nice idea.
/GO BFME2.
added: I wouldnt mind if later on "Charr" was made into a "playable side" and I got control of Charr monks/wars/eles/mesms/assass/rits/rangers. and I was a Wammo General Glowy yellow and all.

/dreams of a day...laff.

I love this idea..
Charr guilds issuing challenges to other guilds. LOL....
This would be a FUN feature to get people interested in GvG. A computer generated AI that builds Level 24 Charr Lord teams of 8. You could have other monster types with their unique builds such as the Tree Hugging Wardens who use a knockdown team build, or a Barrage Ranger Centaur Team or even a Stone Summit Team. It would be fun for GvG practice of course.

When I first got Guild Wars I was disappointed to discover the battles were on such a small scale( I don't really like arena style 'battles'). Didn't matter to me since I enjoy pve. But I would like to see something like the original idea of this thread to come into being. When I first started this game I had grand visions of huge hordes of players charging down hills at each other, and it would be awesome to participate in such chaotic style of combat.

and i wanted to clarify something also...
when i first thought of this, i wasn't restricting the opponents to only be charr. i was thinking that several types of monsters (tengu, drakes, stone summit) would each have respective guilds.
for example:
you are walking through sorrow's furnace and you see tanzit stonecleaver. Thinking that you can get a green, you rush to get the kill. tanzit doesn't drop the green, but instead he drops a flag. you click on the flag, and the message: "TANZIT (Leader) and VANILLA ICE [baby] CHALLENGE YOU!" pops up. Your monster guild challenge is posted across the guild wars world, and you can start the brawl within minutes.
The variation of monster guilds is unlimited, and would make each boss killing much more exciting.
